The Uniview IPC98344ER-GX42-E8-W-VH3 SkyView combines a 32-megapixel panoramic camera and a 4-megapixel high-speed PTZ camera in one advanced surveillance platform. Eight panoramic sensors are dynamically stitched together to provide a seamless 180°, 270°, or full 360° view, while the integrated PTZ detail channel uses a 42× optical zoom lens and intelligent tracking to capture distant subjects with exceptional clarity.

The panoramic channel continuously monitors the entire scene while the PTZ channel automatically or manually focuses on important targets. Operators can select a subject from the panoramic image, draw a box around an area of interest, or allow the camera’s analytics to detect and track pedestrians, vehicles, and non-motor vehicles.

Designed for large, high-security outdoor environments, the camera provides up to 500 meters of infrared illumination, advanced low-light imaging, heat-haze reduction, optical dehazing, gyroscopic stabilization, IP67 weather resistance, and IK10 impact protection.

Panoramic and PTZ Dual-Channel Design

The SkyView architecture combines two complementary surveillance channels:

32MP Panoramic Channel

The panoramic channel uses eight sensors and advanced stitching technology to produce a continuous, high-resolution overview of the monitored area. Installers can configure the camera for 180°, 270°, or 360° panoramic coverage depending on the application and mounting location.

The panoramic image provides a 110° vertical field of view, helping eliminate blind spots even when the camera is installed approximately six meters above the ground.

4MP PTZ Detail Channel

The detail channel uses a 6–252 mm lens with 42× optical zoom and 8× digital zoom. It can focus on distant subjects, follow moving targets, and capture detailed identification footage while the panoramic channel continues recording the complete scene.

High-Resolution Video Performance

The panoramic channel supports the following main-stream resolutions:

  • 32MP, 11520 × 2700 at up to 30 fps

  • 16MP, 8192 × 1800 at up to 30 fps

  • 6144 × 1200 at up to 30 fps

  • 4096 × 900 at up to 30 fps

The PTZ detail channel supports:

The higher 60 fps frame rate on the detail channel helps provide smoother video of fast-moving people and vehicles.

Intelligent Panoramic-to-PTZ Linkage

Operators can manually select a target within the panoramic image, causing the detail channel to automatically position itself and track the selected subject. A box can also be drawn around any area in the web interface, prompting the PTZ channel to zoom in and center the selected region.

A one-click panoramic-detail calibration function simplifies setup and improves the accuracy of target linkage between the two imaging channels.

Auto-Tracking and Handover Tracking

The PTZ channel supports classification-based tracking of:

  • Pedestrians

  • Motor vehicles

  • Non-motor vehicles

When the configured tracking duration ends, the camera can automatically return to its preset position. Handover tracking allows the PTZ channel to continue following a target after it leaves the panoramic channel’s primary field of view, extending the effective tracking area.

Tracking capture also enables the camera to capture structured images and extract target attributes while a subject is being followed.

Smart Intrusion Prevention

The camera supports intelligent perimeter-protection analytics with four detection modes:

  • Cross-line detection

  • Enter-area detection

  • Leave-area detection

  • Area-intrusion detection

The detail channel can classify pedestrians, motor vehicles, and non-motor vehicles, while the panoramic channel supports classification of pedestrians and motor vehicles. Classification-based filtering helps reduce false alarms caused by environmental movement and irrelevant activity.

People Counting and Crowd Monitoring

Both channels support people-flow counting and crowd-density detection. Multi-zone counting allows different areas within the scene to be monitored separately, making the camera useful for entrances, plazas, transportation facilities, stadiums, and other high-traffic locations.
