Considerations for Installation & Use

  • Ensure your network infrastructure supports PoE-out at the required power (IEEE 802.3at) if using PoE.

  • Check mounting bracket & orientation to achieve best coverage given horn shape and sound projection.

  • Given outdoor use, ensure location is within operating temperature/humidity range and protected from extreme climates beyond spec.

  • When uploading custom audio messages, ensure file format, size, and number of files stay within the storage capacity (64 MB, max-10 MB/file, up to ~100 files).

  • For alarm linkage, check compatibility of your NVR/event system and ensure firmware is up-to-date for ONVIF/API features.

  • Calibration/tuning may be required if used for voice announcements in noisy outdoor environments (bearing in mind 130 dB max pressure).

  • While IP66 gives strong protection, still verify conduit, cable glands, and mounting hardware are suitable to avoid environmental ingress over time.
