      Features

Overview: A Rotor or Rotator is a mast-mounted, motor-driven device that permits you to conveniently rotate (orient) the outdoor antenna in any direction to optimize reception of a desired TV channel. A rotor should be considered when TV signals are being broadcast from towers in different directions and a single antenna cannot accommodate all locations. The rotator consists of two parts; an indoor control unit and an outdoor drive unit. The two are connected via a 3-conductor wire that carries the voltage and control signals.

Note: The control unit for the Channel Master 9521A is not backwards compatible with any of the older Channel Master rotors.

Direction: The compass heading (direction) you want the antenna to point can be entered directly using the included remote, or you can scroll to the correct heading using the up and down buttons on the control unit (example: 90° to point east, 225° to point south-west, etc).

Programmable: You can program 69 antenna locations (1-69), corresponding to 69 over the air broadcast frequencies. This way the antenna direction preset number can be the same as the channel number. The non-volatile memory will hold your programmed locations during a power failure.

Synchronize: After moving back and forth many times, a mechanical device can become misaligned with its electrical controller. At any time you can Synchronize the drive unit and control unit. To realign, the motor turns fully counter clock wise and calibrates that direction to 0° (the orientation of the drive unit is fixed at installation). If you prefer, auto synchronization can be turned on and the system will realign itself after each 50 direction movements.

Drive Unit: The drive unit uses a heavy duty motor in a one-piece cast aluminum housing with a durable powder coat painted finish. It uses a precision cut gear system, built-in steel thrust bearings, and has wind-tested brake pads.
