ACCESS CONTROL MODULE

NX-1700E Smart Reader

Overview: The NetworX NX-1700E is a cost-effective proximity card reader/door control module that expands the capabilities of NetworX control panels. The NX-1700E is a "Smart Reader" based system that integrates with all NX series panels without the need for any additional interface devices—an industry first.

Installation is fast and easy, with no dipswitch addressing required. Connect up to 15 readers to NX-8E, NX-8 control control panel data bus, and up to three readers on the NX-6 as far as 2,500 feet away.

Operation The NX-1700E uses proprietary proximity cards or keyfobs. Cards can arm/disarm the system and open the controlled door. Cards follow user authority levels, eliminating the need for creating access groups. The system logs arm/disarm activity by user.

Flexibility The NX-1700E includes a low-current trigger output for operating a door strike/magnetic lock, one egress input (for a request to exit button), a programmable optical tamper switch, and LEDs that can be programmed to follow the output or armed/ready status of the system. The built-in sounder can also be programmed to follow NX keypad sounds.

Convenience The NX-1700E can be programmed to control access in one or all partitions with the single swipe of a card. Cards and keyfobs are easy to enroll, either individually or in batches. You can also add and delete cards from the system using DL900 software.

OPERATOR ACCESS MODULE TELEPHO

The NX-540E is a microcomputer-controlled telephone interface that may be added to NX control panels. The "Operator" converts any touchtone telephone to a system keypad and allows system functions to be accessed via telephone on premises or off-site. There are 48 separate zone descriptions that may be programmed to fit the owner's needs. In addition, the "Operator" will control up to 32 X10 modules (requires only one X10 Pro PSC04 Interface Module per NX system) with programmable description for each.
